Get Over Your Break Up With A Makeover

makeup0716.jpg

Breaking up is hard to do! But, you don't have to wallow in "Splitsville!" Instead, get over that breakup with a little help from makeup! Celebrity Makeup Artist Lauren Lazaro showed us how to get a fresh new look.

Simple Cat Eye and Bright Lips
- Now for all of us that have gone through a breakup you know you can really tell how you’re feeling by looking at your eyes. So to help with the dark circles and puffiness I’ve used the First Aid Beauty Detox Eye Roller (Sephora). To create Jessi’s Cat Eye I used Wet N Wild’s Mega Liner liquid eyeliner (can be found at your local Drug Store) eye liner and simply followed the natural contour of her eye with the tip of the liner brush. You want to follow through to the very outer corner of your eye and leave it with a clean sweep.

- To complete the eye I used Too Faced Lash Injection Pin Point mascara (can be found at Sephora). When applying Mascara you want to really work the brush into your own lashes so try and follow through from the root of the lash to the very end of the lash… this will help to separate and elongate each lash to give you full long lashes without any clumps!

- To compliment Jessi’s sleek and sexy Cat Eye I used Wet N Wild’s Mega Lip Stick Pencil and Lip Gloss. Simply outline and fill in the lip with Wet N Wild Mega Stick Pencil and top it off with a Mega Lip Gloss for a luscious finish.

Too Faced Pin Point Mascara, $19.50
Wet n' Wild Lip Gloss, $1.99

Smokey Eye and Nude Lip-
-For Vanessa I used the Too Faced Naked Eye Kit which is so simple to use on your own because direction cards are included within the kit.You want to begin by using an all over shadow brush and applying a nude bone color all over your eyelids. Then take an angled eye liner brush and apply a dark shadow as close to your lash line as possible. By applying your eyeliner with a brush you will instantly create that smokey effect.Take a small amount of a dark shadow with a smudger brush and create a sidewards >”V”shape from the crease of your eye through the outer corner or outer lash line of your eye. Then with a blender brush mix some light shimmer powders together and blend into the crease and outer lash line… this will help smooth and soften the eye. Lastly, using your angled liner brush apply the same dark shadow you used earlier to the lower lash line. Finish off with a little bit of gold shimmer powder on the lower inner corner of your eye and your eyes will have an instant sparkle and pop for a night out on the town!

- Kim Kardashian always has such a beautiful nude yet full supple lip which every girl seems to want. You can easily recreate this look at home by using Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Nude Beige Lipstick followed by their Chiffon Lip Balm which will not only moisten and nourish your lips but also leave them looking super juicy and there is nothing more desirable then that!

Too Faced Naked Eye Palette, $35
Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Lipstick, $35
Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Lip Balm, $37

Cheeks and Supple Lip-
-For Lauren we wanted to enhance her cheek bones and fill in the hollow between the cheek bone and under eye. I started her off with Vichy NormaDerm Pro Mat (found at drugstores) with the hot summer temps we’ve been reaching it’s hard to stay looking fresh but this product really helps keep your skin looking less oily and more even without drying it out.

- I’ve applied the Black Opal Color Fusion powder (can be found at your local Drug Store) with an angled blush brush. You want to start from the apple of your cheek and dust upward. The higher you go with your blush the more you create the illusion of a seamlessness between the cheek bone and under eye.

- I lined her lips with a nude liner and used Kinerase Ultimate Volume Lip Conditioner which helps plump up the lip for a soft supple finish.

Vichy NormaDerm Pro Mat, $21
Black Opal Mosaic Powders, $10.50
Kinerase Ultimate Lip Conditioner, $28
