Gemma Arterton Enters Battle Of Wills In 'Disappearance Of Alice Creed'

Actress Gemma Arterton stopped by the studio to talk about her role as the title character in the upcoming film The Disappearance of Alice Creed. Fans will remember Creed from her roles in Prince of Persia, Clash of the Titans and as Bond girl Strawberry Fields in Quantum of Solace.

The film is about two ex-cons Danny (Martin Compston) and Vic (Eddie Marsan), who fortify a nondescript British apartment so it can serve as a prison. They kidnap a Alice Creed (Arterton), the daughter of a rich businessman, tie her to a bed and demand ransom. As determined to escape as Vic and Danny are to succeed, Alice enters into a battle of wills which strains the already fractious relationship between the two men. As the deadline for the exchange draws nearer, all three are brought close to breaking point, with Vic and Danny’s foolproof plan descending into a desperate struggle for survival.

The Disappearance of Alice Creed debuts in theaters on August 6.
