Mark Harden (dog trainer) and Tracy Kelly (cat trainer) from Boone's Animals for Hollywood stopped by the studio with the lead dog and cat in the movie Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore. The German Shepard Rowdy and plays Diggs in the film and the Sphynx cat Mesa and plays the character Kitty Galore.

Both are not rescue animals. However, all the animals from the film are from Boone's Animals for Hollywood, where a good number of pets are rescued. Boone uses rescue animals whenever possible. The main thing about these animals is that they know who to hit their marks and can reply to non-verbal cues. They are specially trained to work on film sets.
