Broadway Barks Helps Find Homes For Lonely Pets

Hunter Ryan Herdlicka of Broadway's "A Little Night Music" stopped by live to talk about Broadway Barks!
The 12th Annual Broadway Barks Adopt-A-Thon is taking place Saturday, July 10th in Shubert Alley (located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue). The festivities begin at 3:30 p.m. Celebrity presentations of pets from citywide animal shelters will take place between 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
A special thanks to the ASPCA for bringing some puppies to the studio! If you're interested in adopting any of the dogs seen on the show call the ASPCA at 212-876-7700 ext. 4120.

In addition to Broadway Barks, Stray From the Heart, another NYC based rescue group, will be having a Boat Basin Event to raise money for shelter dogs.
Please, everyone, check your local shelters and rescue groups before you try to purchase a dog. I have met so many wonderful rescue dogs and adopted one from death row at Animal Care and Control. NYC pets need us now more than ever because they are the voiceless victims of the economic downturn.
So visit your local shelters and rescues - you just might find your next best friend there!
