Local Woman Competes on "The Next Food Network Star"

It's a whole new season of The Next Food Network Star and this time the show has gone Hollywood. Season six follows 12 hopefuls competing for the ultimate dream job: his or her own Food Network show.
Contestant Serena Palumbo stopped by the PIX Kitchen to share her recipe for Basil Shrimp Kebabs. Palumbo, originally from Italy's Amalfi coast, now resides on the Upper Westside. And as the only contestant from our area, she had to come by and represent.
The Next Food Network Star, which is the Food Network’s most-watched series is hosted by Bobby Flay and premieres this Sunday, June 6th at 9pm ET.
