Supernatural's Jim Beaver Live!

SUPERNATURAL's well known father figure came by our Pix studios to discuss the show's 100th episode and his new book Life's That Way.

Beaver, who plays the role of Bobby Singer on Supernatural, sat down with our Lisa Mateo. He briefed us on the 100th episode of SUPERNATURAL. New twists and the death of one our characters will be revealed as the Winchester boys and Bobby take on the Apocalypse. The 100th episode airs this Thursday at 9pm, right here on PIX11, your home of the CW.

The actor also shared his personal thoughts about his recently published memoir Life's that Way. It was inspired by events which changed Beaver's life.

During the summer of 2003, Jim Beaver was enjoying the success of the critically acclaimed HBO series DEADWOOD. It was also a time of great change, his wife Cecily was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. She died four months later. Their daughter Maddie was diagnosed as autistic.

It was a lot to deal with, and sharing news of the two darling women in his life became an outlet for him. He began to email updates about Cecily and Maddie to family and friends. Years later those same thoughts and shared moments were put into print and are the basis of his book Life's that Way. His book is now available in bookstores across the country.
