'Save The Snowflakes' Encourages Kids To Think Green

A local company will be throwing a Concert for the Planet for kids and adults at the Bowery Ballroom on Sunday, April 25th. Headlined by two well known local bands, Real Estate and Apollo Sunshine and hosted by celebrated local comedians, the concert will educate children and adults on the importance of protecting our planet.
Additionally, the local 4th grade winner of the "Save the Snowflakes" contest will also be announced at the concert. Sponsored by Snow Beverages, "Save the Snowflakes" was a contest that invited elementary school children to draw a snowflake and explain how they can do their part to protect the planet. The winning submission will receive a $1,000 donation in their name to the NRDC and her class will receive $250 from Snow Beverages to fund a "green party" celebrating Earth Day.
The CEO and three finalists were here for Earth Week.

I can see that a lot of the viewers who watch PIX11 are homophobes and this is more reason to have the gay comic book character so the kids of the next generation will not be homophobes.
