Gen Art Film Festival Takes Manhattan
Seven premieres, seven parties: all in seven days. Seven must be the magic number for the Gen Art Film Festival.
On Wednesday, the signature event kicked off at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City. Arthur Chi'en was on the scene to find out what's new for the festival which is celebrating its 15th anniversary.
Coming out for this year's festivities were actors Carla Gugino, Alexis Bledel, Angela Tarantino, Abbie Cornish; directors Sebastian Gutierrez and Vaughn Juares, and a host of cast and crew from the seven films that will be presented.
And that red carpet experience is not just for the celebrities, the festival provides access for any film lover to same events attended by the cast and filmmakers. Tickets purchased for each of the films is for admission to both the premiere and after-party.
The cutting-edge event is hosted by Gen Art, an organization dedicated to showcasing the best emerging talent in film, fashion, visual arts and music. It runs through April 13th.
