Earth Day: NJ's TerraCycle Encourages Turning Trash To Treasure

TerraCycle is a New Jersey-based recycling and "upcycling" company that partners with companies to help collect used package goods to be turned into high-quality goods.
They create innovative, fun products - One very well known upcycled product is the Capri Sun bookbag made from empty Capri Sun pouches, which were collected by kids around the country.
TerraCycle is encouraging community members in the New York area to get involved this Earth Day and help collect a range of used materials - from empty or expired tubes of Neosporin to Oreo wrappers, so that they can be recycled instead of going into landfills.
You can visit www.terracycle.net or go to their pop-up store "Green Up Shop" in Port Authority to learn how easy it is to collect and send in items that they have collected from colleagues, family members, friends, classmates, etc.
