Dylan Brody To Perform At George Carlin Tribute

Comedian and humorist Dylan Brody is set to perform at the GEORGE CARLIN Tribute hosted by Whoopi Goldberg.

Brody has gained such notable fans as David Sedaris who said after listening to Brody: “The voice is unique and unpredictable…funny and fascinating. I howled.” The hilarious award-winning playwright, humorist, and author is getting people to laugh with his new CD “Brevity.”

For more than two decades in television, radio, and live performance, Dylan Brody has been making people laugh, but in the most understated, beautiful, poignant, and well-wrought way possible. Brody has a particular knack for toeing the line between long-form joke-telling and straightforward short story-telling, clearly writing with the telling in mind, and hitting his cadences easily and confidently.

Like his peers David Sedaris and Augusten Burroughs, Brody mines his own surprisingly insane life to weave tales that are simultaneously relatable and truly outlandish. He presents each of his stories with the same gusto and anticipatory joy of a favorite family anecdote, buffed and polished over the years and presented anew over every Thanksgiving turkey.

Brody also wrote material for major comedic stars like Jay Leno, while also penning televisions ads and movie trailers. He was nominated for a Golden Trailer Award for Big Momma’s House.

Dylan Brody started his creative endeavors in grade school, penning his first play. Right after high school, he began to perform on the open-mic circuit in New York and then, during his sophomore year at Sarah Lawrence College, Brody was accepted as a “developing regular” at the world famous Improvisation in Hell’s Kitchen.

Not content to just entertaining the U.S., Brody also studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London and worked England’s comedy clubs while developing a loyal following at the Canal Café Theater. Returning back, he worked venues from New York to Los Angeles, sharing the stage with huge comedy stars like Adam Sandler, Jon Lovitz, and Jerry Seinfeld.
