'46 Circus Acts in 45 Minutes' Take Center Stage At New Victory Theater

The name says it all. With their beeline approach to high-flying fun, the cheeky Aussies of Circa push their own limits as they barrel, bolt and balance at breakneck speed across The New Victory stage in 46 Circus Acts in 45 Minutes from March 19 through April 4, 2010.

In 46 Circus Acts in 45 Minutes, Circa performs a show based on the dramatic thrust of time. With the incessant mounting pressure of the clock, each act -- some are ironic, some anarchic, some plain silly and others awe-inspiring -- crystallizes into a small but perfect moment. Featuring four cirque talents with expertise in such disciplines as aerial acrobatics, hand balancing, contortion and hilarious clowning, 46 Circus Acts in 45 Minutes is a zany salvo of traditional and not-so-traditional circus stunts.

46 Circus Acts in 45 Minutes features Darcy Grant, Emma McGovern, Emma Serjeant, Lewis West and Scott Grove. Since 2004, Circa has taken its vision of re-imagining circus as a contemporary art form to 16 countries and across five continents. Based in Brisbane and performing throughout Queensland, around Australia and across the world, Circa combines the physically impossible with a poetic sensibility.

Member tickets cost $24.50 (orchestra), $17.50 (mezzanine) and $8.75 (balcony). Tickets for non-Members cost $35 (orchestra), $25 (mezzanine) and $12.50 (balcony).
