Shoshana Johnson 'Still Standing' After POW Experience In Baghdad

pow0208.jpg

In March 2003, Shoshana Johnson was part of the Army convoy that was attacked in Baghdad, Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Several soldiers were killed and others were taken prisoner. Jessica Lynch became the face associated with the tragedy, but another female soldier was also wounded -- Shoshana Johnson.

She became the first black prisoner of war in U.S. History and is sharing her story in a new book I'm Still Standing: From Captive U.S. Soldier to Free Citizen--My Journey Home, which is available in stores now.

You can meet Johnson in person at a discussion and book signing at Border Columbus Circle tomorrow, February 9 at 7pm. For more information, visit www.borders.com.
