Questlove from The Roots (Jimmy Fallon's house band) has composed the score for the Soul Train: The Hippest Trip in America documentary.

We’ve got SOOOOOOUL! Questlove from The Roots joined our Soul Train dance line as we celebrated the 40th anniversary of the groundbreaking entertainment show SOUL TRAIN. Vh1 is airing a special documentary to commemorate the show’s contribution to America’s landscape. The Soul Train dance party reached national significance and became the longest running first-run syndicated show in television history (1970-2006). VH1 is premiering a 90-minute documentary "Soul Train the Hippest Trip in America" celebrating the show's impact.

The Soul Train dance party reached national significance and became the longest running first-run syndicated show in television history (1970-2006). The documentary is narrated by Academy Award nominee Terrance Howard and features performances and great moments from Soul Train, as well as behind-the-scene stories and memories from the cast and crew and performers (Don Cornelius, Sly Stone, Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, David Bowie, Average White Band, Elton John).

VH1's new Rock Doc "Soul Train the Hippest Trip in America" premieres on Saturday, February 6th at 9:30 PM ET.
