Coca-Cola Unveils Its Super Bowl XLIV Ads

Simpsons-commercial.jpg

Coca-Cola is hosting a special sneak peek at two new Coca-Cola commercials that will debut during the Super Bowl XLIV telecast on February 7th. This year, Coca-Cola has added special significance to its new ads through a unique partnership with Facebook.

The partnership allows people to share virtual gifts with friends and family. Each virtual gift shared on Facebook offers four uplifting outcomes:
- Coca-Cola will donate one dollar to Boys & Girls Clubs of America every time a gift is sent.
- Gift recipients receive a special Coca-Cola bottle image, which is displayed on their Facebook wall and newsfeed, reminding them and others that they can also share virtual gifts.
- The gift-giver receives a 20-second sneak preview of one of two new Coca-Cola ads that will debut during the Super Bowl broadcast.

As for the gift recipients, they would see an image of Coke bottle on their Facebook pages and news feed. Coca Cola will be using the proceeds from the campaign to donate a dollar to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, for every gift sent out during the campaign.

Coca Cola's social media marketing campaign will run in parallel with their more traditional Cable TV commercials. Coca Cola has bought spots to run two commercials on CBS during Super Bowl XLIV on Feb. 7.
