One can *always* add salt.
I believe Lisa meant to say thast there are 960mg of salt per serving as stated on the can. There are 2 servings in the can for almost 2000mg per can! Most people will eat the whole can. Same with soups.
The government should stay out of my kitchen, and restaurants' kitchens also. I love salt, but in moderation.
