LIRR Schedules Now Available Via Text Message

lirr0125.jpg

LIRR schedules and updates are now just a text message away!

For the first time, service delays and train times will be available via text. The service is free to anyone who owns a phone with messaging capabilities, but standard rates will apply. All you need to do is text 2-6-6-2-6-6 with a station to station request, like "Farmingdale to Penn Station" to get information on the next five trains.

For more on the LIRR's new feature, visit mta.info/coocoo.
