Life's Unexpected Adoption Woes

life.jpg

Last night was the series premiere of the much talked about CW show, "Life Unexpected," about a 15 year-old who has spent her life bouncing from foster family to foster family -- until she finds her birth parents.

The emotional journey depicted in the highly-acclaimed new show is a very real and common one for many young people, and Dr. Stephan Quentzel from the Psychiatry Department at Beth Israel Medical Center came by the studio to talk to us about it. She was happy to answer all of our questions, from "how old should a child be before being introduced to the birth parents," to "how does foster care affect children."
