Harlem Educational Activity Fund Helps Grow Youth's Minds

Our Lisa Mateo visited the Harlem Educational Activity Fund to find out how they have been helping public school students from Harlem and the surrounding communities develop their intellectual curiosity, academic ability, social values and personal resiliency needed to ensure success in school, career and life for the past 20 years.
The Harlem Educational Activities Fund (HEAF) is a comprehensive, non-profit supplemental education and youth development organization that recognizes students in middle school and supports them until they are successfully admitted to four-year colleges through an array of afterschool, Saturday and summer educational and youth development programs.
During Lisa’s visit at HEAF, she discovered that 95% of the college students who were a part of this program graduated with a degrees from Yale, Columbia and many other top institutions within six years or less. This program is free for students who maintain an average of 80 and above.

That sounds awesome. There she should be more programs like this throughout the boroughs.
HEAF is so appreciative of this feature. I know it will help us to spread the word.
