Lisa G Bakes New Year's Eve Treats

Lisa G can be heard daily on Sirius Satellite Radio as part of The Howard Stern Show on Howard 100 and Howard 101. But today she's in the PIX kitchen helping us prepare some fun, frugal and festive sweet treats to ring in the new year! She showed us how to make New Year's Eve Brownies and Mini-Cheesecakes (see the recipes after the jump).

New Year's Eve Brownies
Ingredients
1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
10-ounces semisweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 large eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour

Directions
1. Preheat over to 325 F
2. Line 13x9x2 inch baking pan with parchment paper (or foil). If using foil spray with non-stick baking spray.
3. Melt butter and chocolate on low flame in saucepan until smooth.remove from heat.
4. Whisk in sugar, vanilla. Then eggs. Fold in flour.
5. Spread in pan.
6. Bake until tester inserted into center comes out with moist crumbs attached. About 25 minutes.
7. Place on rack and cool.
8. When cooled, ice with frosting. Top with fun toppings!


Mini New Year's Eve Cheesecakes
For crust
10 graham cracker cookies
3/4 stick melted butter
Pour ingredients into food processor. Pulse until fine

For cheesecake
2 8- oz cream cheese bars (at room temperature)
1 cup sugar
2 eggs

Directions
1. Whip cream cheese and sugar in blender. Add eggs until smooth.
2. Line cupcake tin with liners. Fill liners with 1 1/2 tablesppons of graham cracker crust. Push with fingers to keep in place.
3. Fill liners half way up with cheesecake mixture.
4. Bake around 20 minutes. Until tops are firm
5. Cool.
6. Top cheesecakes with whipped cream. Top with silver sprinkles, or non-pareils or any other fun topping!
