Kym Johnson Tells Us How She'll 'Burn The Floor'

Kym Johnson, a former professional ballroom dancer, model and two-time Dancing with the Stars winner stopped by this morning to talk to us about her new Broadway appearance in "Burn the Floor."
Burn the Floor is full of color and energy it’s a Latin and ballroom dance spectacular. It’s a sparkling display of Ballroom and Latin dancing at Sir Elton John’s 50th birthday celebration at the Hammersmith Palais Ballroom, London in 1997.
The producer of the play Harely Medcalf stated that “the dancers provided the real motivation, their good nature, openness and sheer talent combined with a burning passion and love of dance” in the play. Since its opening in August its quickly broke the theatre’s box office record and announced an extension to 2010, and Kym Johnson has joined the company now through January 10.
Johnson began ballroom dancing in 1998 at age 15. Since 2001, she has appeared in a number of events and films like the Blade Runner launch party and the film Strictly Ballroom. Johnson’s celebrity began after appearing on Dancing with the Stars. She appeared on seasons 1-3 in Australia in 2004 and 2005. In Season 2, she and her partner, television presenter Tom Williams were the winning couple. She also made a cameo during the 4th Australian series Dancing with the Stars Grand Final. Johnson's partner for this past season was Donny Osmond.

Great video! Very exciting about what Kym has accomplished. By the way, Kym was not 15 when she started ballroom dancing in 1998. She was born in 1976. How could she be 15 in 1998? If she was 15 in 1998, she was born in 1983. She's older than being born in 1983.
