Kerry Washington Talks "Race"
The stunning Kerry Washington stopped by the studio today to talk about her role in "Race", the new highly acclaimed Broadway play by David Mamet. Originally from the Bronx, Washington is known for speaking up about social issues from politics to female empowerment.
Washington is also working on a documentary with Matt Damon and Josh Brolin called "The People Speak", a film based on the 2004 book of the same name by Howard Zinn. It focuses on democracy and is enriched with dramatic readings of famous historical documents performed by celebrities including Washington, Damon, Brolin, Marisa Tomei, Viggo Mortensen and others. It also features music by Bruce Springsteen, Eddie Vedder and John Legend, and will air on the History Channel later this year.
