Free Taxi Ride for Drunk Drivers on New Years Eve

taxi1230.jpg

The NYS Federation of Taxi Drivers (NYSFTD) will have a fleet of 10 cars responding to drivers that have had to much to drink on New Years Eve. They will take your car keys and make sure you get home safe. Theirgoal is to make sure there are no victims of drunk drivers this New Years Day in New York City.

The NYSFTD will not take reservations, nor provide transportation to those that clearly are not driving, They ask the public not to block our lines if they do not qualify. This program was made possible by NYSFTD members Dial 7 car service, Carmel car service, and New Elegante car service. We will be operational from 12 am - 5 am on New Years Day only. Calls will be accepted at the NYSFTD heard quarters 718-492-7680.

What: "Operation DDD" Don't Drink & Drive launched by the NYSFTD
When: Press Conference Wednesday December 30, 2009 @ 11:30 AM
Where: One Police Plaza in front of outside court yard
