Host A Rockin' New Years Eve Party For Cheap

dj1229.jpg

Not in the mood to go out for New Year's Eve? Can't afford a swank gala this year? Party guru DJ Marc Weiss shows us how to pull off a fabulous, inexpensive New Year's eve soiree at home. His tips included:

• Invites: Go digital! Evite and Facebook!

• Location: Find the friend that has the big screen TV! Watching the ball drop from Times Square is tradition especially here in NY. NYE is very close to the Super Bowl which is the biggest sale day for large flat screen TV's.

• Menu/Party Vibe: Set up little sitting areas and serve "stationary items" like dips & creative hors d 'oderves.

• Playlist: Make a playlist of the best hits of 2009! At midnight I always play a dance version of Old Lang Syne!
