The View host Sherri Shepherd stopped by to talk about her new book Permission Slips and her Lifetime show Sherri.

Permission Slips "comically chronicles her struggles to keep up with the many roles-professional, wife, mother, daughter, and friend-that women must play in today's world. Sherri urges women to pursue their most important dreams and to never give up, but also let's readers know that it's okay to give themselves 'permission slips' when things don't always work out the way they want them to. As her many fans know, Sherri is never hesitant to speak from the heart, and her bubbly personality shines through in this delightful autobiography," says Amazon.

Lifetime says, "Sherri centers around a newly single mom, paralegal and part-time comedienne/actress who tries to get back into the dating scene and move on with her life after divorcing her cheating husband. Sherri finds solace and support among her girlfriends at the office while juggling her hectic life."

Permission Slips: Every Woman's Guide to Giving Herself a Break is available in stores now. You can meet her in person at her book signing on Saturday, November 14 at 4pm at the Hue-Man Bookstore (2319 Frederick Douglass Boulevard in Manhattan).

Sherri airs Tuedays at 10pm on Lifetime. The View airs weekdays at 11am on ABC.
