As much as Matsui and Damon meant to the Yankees
success this year in the World Series, they need to get younger. If they don;t sign either player,
this opens a slot for Jason Bay. He is younger and a clutch hitter as well as an everyday player. This will allow Posada to DH when necessary
and give the Yanks a dependable outfielder as well. The money pretty money balances out by not signing Matsui and Damon.
