PIX Family Feast: Tamsen Fadal & Her Cousin

Thanksgiving is just two days away and from the PIX family to yours, we want to celebrate with you by sharing special family recipes.

Tamsen Fadal and her cousin actress Shannon Elizabeth showed us how to make Tofurkey and Sweet Potato Casserole (see the recipe after the jump).

Tofurky Vegetarian Feast
Ingredients
1 Tofurky Roast
2 potatoes, quartered
1 onion quartered and peeled

Directions
Put all ingredient in aluminun foil cover and bake at 300 for 3 hours and 15 minutes if frozen 350 for 1 hour and 15 minutes if thawed

Tofurky Baste
Ingredients
3 Tablespoons of olive oil
1 Tablespoon of soy sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons of ground sage

Directions
1. Put half on Tofurky and vegetables before baking
2. Put remaining mixture on Tofurky after it is cooked for 10 minutes and bake

Sweet Potato Casserole
Ingredients
2 40-ounce cans of candied yams
1 cup of Earth Balance butter
2 cups of brown sugar

Directions
1. Combine all ingredients with mixer until smooth.
2. Pour mixture into baking dish.
3. Cover the top with one bag of small marshmallows Bake at 350 until marshmallow are brown.
