Lionel Trains Charge Through Rockefeller Center

Iconic train company gets onboard with first ever pop up store in Rockefeller Center...New York-based Lionel Trains will be opening a pop-up store at 30 Rockefeller Center on 50th Street which will be open November 1st through January 4th. Our Larry Hoff visited the store to help them set up and talk trains all morning and spoke to CEO of Lionel Jerry Calabrese.
This will be Lionel's first ever retail store in 109 years. While many major retailers and toy manufacturers are bracing for the slowest holiday season in at least a decade, Lionel has exhibited double digit growth over the last three years and is expecting record-breaking sales this holiday season.
The 1,100 square foot space will feature a unique train layout as well as a Christmas Tree and will offer about 30 of their top selling items including the Beatles Box Car, the Wizard of Oz Box Car and the Christmas Story. In addition, the store will sell several limited edition celebrity signed trains for charity and host numerous events.
