Bill Pullman, Julia Stiles Star In Broadway's "Oleanna"

Actors Bill Pullman and Julia Stiles stopped by the studio to talk about their roles as John and Carol in Pulitzer Prize winner David Mamet’s two-character play "Oleanna."
This first-time Broadway production centers on a power struggle between John, a college professor, and Carol, one of his female students, who accuses him of sexual exploitation. The claim ruins his chances of being accorded tenure. As their serene campus transforms into a battleground for justice. The play's title was taken from a folk song which refers to a 19th-century escapist vision of utopia. "Oleanna" marks Stiles' roadway debut.
Pullman is best known for his roles in Ruthless People, Independence Day and The Grudge. In addition to acting, Pullman is also a creative writer. Stiles' acting career has included both commercial and critical successes, such as 10 Things I Hate About You to Save the Last Dance to the Bourne series. Stiles also made a writing and directorial debut with Elle Magazine's 2007 short film Raving, which starred Zooey Deschanel (Yes Man). Pullman and Stiles are both native New Yorkers.
"Oleanna" is playing at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street). For ticket and show information, visit oleannaonbroadway.com.
