Hope Lodge Helps Out-Patients Find A Home

For many cancer patients the best care is right here in New York City. But not everyone can afford to stay here. The American Cancer Society has a solution. Dr. Steve spoke to Lindsay Edgar, manager of cancer treatment center Hope Lodge, about free service for cancer patients who could not otherwise afford to get the care they desperately need.
Potential patients must be undergoing out-patient treatment to be eligible for Hope Lodge. There's no limit to how long you can stay, but there is a three night minimum. Referrals are obtained through a social worker. Rooms are given out on a first come, first served basis.
