i believe the lottery should pay for their mistake like the rest of us do.
If it was their mistake they still need to pay its only fair how are we the purchasers supposed to know that it was a "typo" or "misprint" if all we know is that we won. Come on now it is not right to build up a person self esteem to the chop them down.
They should honor those misprinted ticket. When stores misprint the wrong prices in thier advertisements they take the loss, so should the lottery.
I beleive that the NY state lottery needs to honor their debt and pay UP! Yes it was a mistake, but why should the people be at a loss. The lottery system is a business, and just like any business, the NY state lottery should now how to handle this. What, having people not claim is good but paying up is bad. Come on.....
If there was a mistake on the part of the lottery or the person who inputs the numbers at the store. They should definitely pay up! This is enough to make the person who won (or thought they had one won) go crazy. If they don't pay this is definitely grounds to sue!
