Derek Luke Saves Lifes In New NBC Series 'Trauma'

Actor Derek Luke stopped by the studio to talk about his role as Cameron Boone on NBC's new medical drama Trauma.
From executive producer Peter Berg (NBC's Friday Night Lights), Trauma focuses on the lives of the San Francisco City Hospital trauma team members Reuben "Rabbit" Palchuk (Cliff Curtis), Cameron Boone (Derek Luke), Nancy Carnahan (Anastasia Griffith), Marisa Benez (Aimee Garcia), Tyler Briggs (Kevin Rankin), Glenn Morris (Taylor Kinney) and Dr. Joe Saviano (Jamey Sheridan) as they battle through the extremes to save the lives of others and give meaning to their own. According to NBC, the show is "an intense, action-packed look at one of the most dangerous medical professions in the world: first responder paramedics."
Born and raised in Jersey City, Luke currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife Sophia. Most famous for his lead performance in Denzel Washington's Antwone Fisher, his other acting credits include Friday Night Lights, Glory Road and Definetly, Maybe.
Catch the season premiere of Trauma on Saturday, September 28 at 9pm on NBC. For more information of the cast and show, visit www.nbc.com.
