Don't miss out on an opportunity to help others and meet a celebrity during our blood drive with the New York Blood Center at PIX Plaza (42nd Street and 2nd Avenue) today, September 10 from 6am to 11:30am.
The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder, who plays Damon Salvatore, will be on hand with our Dr. Steve Salvatore to encourage New Yorkers to roll up their sleeves and donate a pint of blood to help save another's life.
The New York Blood Center needs about 2,000 donations per day to keep up with demand, blood is perishable and needs regular replenishment.
