Don't Give Bad Wedding Gifts, Try These Ideas First

wedding0805.jpg

WeddingChannel.com has found the worst wedding gifts including a tin of potato chips, used set of bowls and a homemade album made with duct tape. We'll check them out and offer suggestions on gifts for every budget.

BAD GIFTS:
Potato Chips. Funny enough, the bride said that after they ate the chips, the tin did become useful since they used it to store their rice
Rooster. Ok if you have a love for roosters, maybe

GOOD GIFT TIP: Get a group gift. Friendly with other wedding guests? Ask them to chip in on a larger wedding gift. Not only will you each spend less, but it's a savvy way to make it seem like you spent more than you actually did. For example, a wine rack with a wine of the month club membership or the couple's favorite bottles of wine

BAD GIFTS:
Homemade Wedding Album. Nice on outside with colors of wedding, but on inside, bride found packing tape holding the fabric together.
Large Frame of Post-Its. One guest decided to tune in to his inner artist and gifted a large frame with Post-its aligned in rows as the "artwork"

GOOD GIFT TIP: Personalize It. Personalization is the perfect way to upgrade a less expensive gift. For example, a cake stand paired with your favorite cake recipes. These gifts are thoughtful and budget-friendly)

-------------------------

BAD GIFTS:
Used Bowls. One couple was excited to receive some bright mixing bowls, but then on closer examination, noticed that there were still slight food remnants on it!)
Stained Cups. Set of mugs… but still had some stains on them!)

GOOD GIFT TIP: When in doubt, opt for a gift card. We've all been there-there's either a $10 gift left or a $1,000 gift left on a registry. So a great way to handle this is to buy the small gift, but supplement it with a gift card to the store the couple registered at. This way, you're not shying away from a couple's selected registry, but you also find something in your budget. WeddingChannel.com has a Gift Card Boutique)

-------------------------

BAD GIFTS:
Blank Card. One bride had a guest give them a wedding card to make it seem ilke he was giving money as a gift… but the card was blank inside and didn't include a gift...
Nothing. One bride had 4 wedding guests who didn't even give a gift or card! And one of these guests was a brother-in-law. Ouch)

GOOD GIFT TIP: Shop Early & Save. Don't wait till the last minute to buy a wedding gift-that's the least budget-friendly thing you can do! Once you know the couple's registered, keep an eye out for store sales and discounts, and shop for the best price
o You can easily find a couple's registry just by checking out WeddingChannel.com since we have more than 20 retailer partners like Macy's, Crate & Barrel, Bloomingdale's, Amazon, etc.)

A really great wedding gift that will truly be appreciated is personalized luxury towels.
Check out the pix-http://elegantlinenspc.com/Gift-Towels.htm. These towels are very thick and luxurious and you have the couples initial embossed on the towel. They look like they came from a spa resort. And because they are good quality they will also last the couple a long time. I have given these towels as gifts several times and everybody loves them.

I read out list of Bad gifts........
thanks now I can save myself to BAD Gift to someone...
