'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Susie Essman Talks Comedy, Forthcoming Book 'What Would Susie Say?'

Actress/comedienne Susie Essman stopped by the studio to talk about her upcoming performance at Caroline's on Broadway, the new season of HBO's http://www.hbo.com/larrydavidCurb Your Enthusiasm and her new book What Would Susie Say?.

Curb Your Enthusiasm centers on Larry David when he's at home, at work and around town, as he gets into predicaments with fictional and real-life personalities. The show's actors are given a rough outline and she show is mainly improvised. Curb Your Enthusiasm's season premiere is September 20 at 9pm on HBO.

Her forthcoming book What Would Susie Say?: Bullsh*t Wisdom About Love, Life and Comedy is due out in bookstores on October 20. In it, she has a series of essays on a variety of topics in which she takes no prisoners in her commentary and just cuts through the crap.

Essman is a native New Yorker who was born in Brooklyn and raised in Mount Vernon in Westchester County. She is close friends with TV host and fellow comic Joy Behar and is a vegetarian.
