Dancers Anya Garnis, Pasha Kovalev Talk About Fancy Footwork In 'Burn The Floor'

Dancers Anya Garnis and Pasha Kovalev of So You Think You Can Dance fame stopped by the studio to talk about and perform excerpts from the Broadway feature "Burn The Floor."
"Burn The Floor" is all about a mix of Latin and ballroom dance with a sexy 21st century edge and features a cast of award-winning international dancers. Originally meant to only be a 12-week limited engagement, the show has extended its run into next year due to popularity.
"Burn The Floor" began as a special performance at Sir Elton John's 50th birthday celebration in 1997. "It takes audiences on a journey through the passionate drama of dance. The elegance of the Viennese Waltz, the exuberance of Jive, the intensity of the Paso Doble—audiences experience them all, as well as the Tango, Samba, Mambo, Quickstep and Swing," according to its website.
"Burn The Floor" is playing at the Longacre Theatre now through January 3, 2010. For tickets and show information, visit www.burnthefloor.com.
