Learn How To Battle The Cold, Flu Viruses At The Bronx Zoo

New York school nurses are responsible for the well-being of over 1,000 kids each. Nurses can’t be everywhere at once, so Jean will share her tips for maintaining a healthy home and classroom.
Nearly 70% of student illnesses in 2008 did not happen during the "typical" cold and flu season. Kids can begin practicing so these tips are second nature when they head back to school.
Larry spoke to Jean Grabeel, Executive Committee member of the National Association of School Nurses, about "Battle The Bug" at the Bonx Zoo -- an interactive exhibit designed to provide tips for fighting cold and flu viruses. He also took a look at their Whack-a-Bug Game
Battle the Bug Video Game (it literally “sneezes” on kids!), and Trap-a-Bug, where kids try to catch figurative cold and flu viruses in a windy booth.
