Amy Adams and Meryl Streep Invites Us Into The World Of 'Julie & Julia'

Emily sat down with the stars of Julie & Julia--Amy Adams and Meryl Streep--to talk about the new film.
Written and directed by Nora Ephron, the movie stars Streep as renowned cook Julia Child and Adams as Julie Powell. The work is an adaptation of two bestselling memoirs: Powell's Julie & Julia and My Life in France, by Child and Alex Prud'homme. Based on these two true accounts, the movie depicts the women who, though separated by time and space, are joined by their love of cooking. They learn that with the right amount of passion and fearlessness, anything is possible.
Amy Adams made her screen debut in the black comedy film Drop Dead Gorgeous. After a series of television guest appearances, she landed the role of Brenda Strong in 2002's Catch Me If You Can. Her breakthrough role came in the 2005 independent film Junebug, for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
Considered by many to be the greatest living film actress, Meryl Streep has received 15 Academy Award nominations and 23 Golden Globe nominations (winning six), more than any other person in film history. She won acclaim for her roles in films such as Adaptation, Sophie's Choice, and Kramer vs. Kramer.
Julie & Julia hits theaters this Friday.
