This question is SOO wrong in the way it looks at the homeless "problem". Will it "Control the Homeless problem"
NYC controls it's rat problem. We control our mosquito problem. We should not look at the homeless as pests or and issue we need to "control", but rather be asking, "Will this program be HELPING homeless PEOPLE?"
They need help. A compassionate and weathy city such as ours can help them to a degree, but not the same way a loving family can lend the intimate support network they truly need to get back on their feet. If they had that kind of help in NYC, they would never have reached the streets.
Bravo for the innovation. Shame on WPIX for asking the question is such an elitist and uncompassionate manner.
