'Adam' Star Hugh Dancy Talks About His New Drama/Romance Movie

Actor Hugh Dancy talked with us about starring in the new film Adam. Dancy's co-star Rose Byrne stopped by yesterday to talk about the film.
In the movie, Dancy stars as Adam Raki, a lonely man with Asperger's Syndrome who develops a relationship with his upstairs neighbor, Beth Buchwald, a brainy, beautiful writer damaged from a past relationship, played by Byrne. Beth and Adam's ultimate connection leads to a tricky relationship that exemplifies something universal: truly reaching another person means bravely stretching into uncomfortable territory and the resulting shake-up can be liberating. The film has garnered the Sundance 2009 Alfred P. Sloane Award.
Dancy is an English-born actor whose acting credits includes the recent Confessions of a Shopaholic, opposite Isla Fisher, and Ella Enchanted, opposite Anne Hathaway. He also starred in Blood and Chocolate, The Jane Austen Book Club and Savage Grace.
Adam hits theaters on Wednesday, July 29 and will play at The Angelika and Lincoln Plaza. For more information, visit www.foxsearchlight.com/adam.
