Grand Opening Of First EPIC Hollister Store In SoHo

hollister0715.jpg

SoCal meets SoHo on July 16 as Abercrombie & Fitch opens the doors to the first EPIC Hollister store in New York City. The six-story store will be located at 600 Broadway, on the southeast corner of Houston & Broadway.

It’s 40,000 square feet of the California dream…walking along Huntington Pier, hanging with the hottest kids at the beach while the waves crash around you…It’s awesome! “The EPIC store is what Hollister is all about—hot guys, big waves, surfing, and hanging out on the pier,” said a Hollister rep. “The laidback HCo. vibe is effortlessly cool, and we’re bringing the SoCal lifestyle to SoHo.”

The first of its kind in the world, Hollister Co.’s EPIC store is about sight, sound, scent, taste, touch, and most of all, positive energy. It is without a doubt the coolest store to open in NYC. The experience is about discovery…it’s sure not to disappoint. In addition, the HCo. SoHo store will offer EPIC, an exclusive cologne for men and women.

Check out EPIC at Hollister’s microsite www.hcoridethewave.com featuring a first impression account of the store, downloadable screensavers, postcards, and a countdown to opening day on July 16. The site also provides the opportunity to “get cast” to be a store model, and the chance to be featured in the brand’s famous Bruce Weber photography. Hollister is holding castings to recruit the best looking kids to be store models.

EPIC is a part of Abercrombie & Fitch’s current global expansion. European openings include the launch of an Abercrombie & Fitch flagship in Milan in October, and Asian expansion includes an 11-story Abercrombie & Fitch opening in December in Tokyo’s Ginza district.

The only people that will wear this garbage is tourists and people from Jersey or Staten Island. Why is that garbage of a store even in Soho. NYC is so dead.

great looking store - can't wait to see it in person.

I really like the pattern, color, and fits at Hollister. The store experience is one-of-a-kind. Sure people in Jersey will wear it. So will people in every other state in the entire country... not to mention the UK where HCo is a hit.

They have cool, easy, and intriguing clothing... in addition to the t-shirts blaring HOLLISTER... which ALSO happen to be all over the American public.

But hey... you're entitled to your opinion.
Go be angry somewhere other than SoCal.

Hollister's stores in the UK have flopped so far.

The UK stores are doing absolutely amazing in business, each one of the locations is over 50% in compairson to sale's projections.

In fact, each one hits capacity almost every day by 12pm!

I agree, the brand may not be for everyone, but T Walker, if you make make an assessment based on sale's projections, make sure you get the info.

Your claim that the stores in the UK have flopped has no more grounding than me calling you an idiot. Based on you comment, I don't think I'm too far off.

This store is absolutely fantastic. I walked in and was speechless! With all the bad press Abercrombie (parent company) has recieved in the past year, this store is EXACTLY what the doctor ordered!

The style is right, the price (while still more expensive than most) is just barely right, and it's what the company needs to stay relevant in today's increasingly competitive teen retail market. It's Ruehl brand was cool but didn't have any differentiation from A&F and was more expensive...HCo is unique in and of itself.

Good luck A&F/Hollister on what hopes to be a rebirth of your company!!!

SoHo just got even better. I can't wait to walk to Epic and buy me some plaid shirts and Epic cologne. I'm thrilled that Epic items are exclusive too. Hell yeah...

Living in the UK i can say that the hollister stores definitely havn't flopped, with abercrombie and hollister both making a killing every day in London, i can only imagine that the EPIC store is amazing.

Definitely one of the greatest makes around i feel!
