Friday Forecaster: Yogi G

A longtime practitioner and aficionado of Kripalu Yoga, Geoffrey Paul Gordon first began "channeling" Yogi G as a character at the end of 2007.
The comic performance piece which has gained a devoted following in performances in the Hamptons is now in NYC and will play Sunday evenings at Don't Tell Mama, 343 West 46th Street starting April 19th. Performances will then be Sundays, May 17th, June 21st, July 19th and August 30th at 6 PM.

KAHMIC YOGA with Yogi G pokes fun at the current popularity of yoga among people whose lives and lifestyles comprise the ying that stands in stark contrast to the yang of Eastern wisdom. Targets of impish Yogi G's humor include, among others, vanity, sexual politics, the commercialization of spiritual messages, misguided self-image and the taking of oneself too seriously.
Mr. Gordon started performances in the Hamptons where he has built a steady and devoted following. His performances take place at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the South Fork, 977 Bridgehampton/ Sag Harbor Turnpike. His upcoming performances there include Saturdays, April 18th, May 30th June 20th, July 18th and August 29th at 8 PM. Tickets are $15 and reservations can be made by calling 631-899-3181.
Tickets for shows at Don't Tell Mama are $15 cover and two drink minimum and reservations can be made by calling 212-757-0788.
