Free Friday: Food Tastings, Drawing Lessons

Each week we're telling viewers about events, activities and items that are free. That's right! No money required.
This week's free list:
1. Mambo Italiano Xpress restaurant is giving each customer two free tastings of the dish of their choice on Monday, June 20 and 27, and Aug 3 from 2pm to 4pm in Manhattan
2. River to River Festival's "The Big Draw" tomorrow (Sat) from 11am-4pm,in Manhattan -- various forms of art and drawings. Each person receives a free sketchbook and gets to join in on hands-on projects with artists on hand

Each customer is allowed two free tastings of the dishes of their choosing. So for example if they want two tastings of lasagna they can or they may want lasagna and chicken parm. These will be healthy samplings not just a little taste. Again it's June 20th, June 27th, and August 3rd from 2-4 PM at our Manhattan Location.

River To River Festival and The Drawing Center presents The Big Draw
Saturday, July 18th from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm
WHERE: Venues throughout Lower Manhattan including:
- Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian, One Bowling Green;
- World Financial Center Winter Garden, 220 Vesey Street;
-The Bosque in Battery Park, Battery Place and State Street
The River To River Festival and The Drawing Center present The Big Draw, a day-long celebration where more than 3,000 people of all ages are expected to join in hands-on artist-led drawing projects. Pick up a free sketchbook and express your creativity through inventive, site-specific projects at three Lower Manhattan venues.
- World Financial Center Winter Garden: Create drawings on outdated and recycled music scores that will then be performed live by string quartet group, The Flux Quartet.
- Smithsonian National Museum of the American: Explore how sound and movement can be captured through mark, gesture, and line by drawing live performances of Native American dancers.
- The Bosque in Battery Park: Participants will use the landscape as their canvas by tracing their pathway with recycled water bottles filled with river water mixed with blue pigment.
