Flight 1549 Survivor Emma Sophina Talks About How Her Experience-Inspired Music

Australian singer-songwriter Emma Sophina stopped by to talk about her new album Wake Up which is inspired by her experience aboard US Airways Flight 1549, which made an emergency landing in the Hudson River.
Sophina was visiting New York when she boarded Flight 1549. After declaring a double bird strike situation, Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger made the incredicle "miracle on the Hudson" landing.
Sophina used her experience to create beautiful music that serves as a “thank you” to the pilots and crew of that flight which saved the lives of over 150 people.
Wake Up is the Aussie's first album and it was produced by Grammy Award winning producers Marc Swersky and Tony Black. The five song EP was released digitally by Decca Records.
