Brother Jimmy's BBQ Turns Back Hands Of Time With Old 1989 Prices

Traditional sandwiches like Pulled Pork Sandwiches are turned back to $6.95 add slaw for 25¢, Sliced Brisket Sandwich $6.95 and Grilled Chicken Sandwiches $6.50; while Brother Jimmy’s all time favorite dinners like Northern or Southern-style RIBS are $12.95, Half BBQ Chicken $8.95, and famous Pulled Pork Dinner only $9.95.
Combined with $2 Natural Lights, $2.50 Rolling Rocks and $12 Signature ½ Gallon Swamp Water, the 1989 Brother Jimmy’s-style party is complete. Originating in a time when BBQ was nearly non-existent in Manhattan, Brother Jimmy’s defined southern BBQ and cultivated nightlife in the borough that made it famous. In 1989, Jimmy Goldman created a simple idea from Southern recipes gathered from friends and family. This idea was embraced by customers in 1989 and has exploded since the company was sold to current CEO of Brother Jimmy’s, Josh Lebowitz, in 2000.
The business has grown from a simple BBQ hangout and refined into a brand that embodies consistent, quality Southern BBQ for lunch, dinner and brunch; a nightlife venue consistently rated at the top in several categories of Zagat Nightlife; and a home to everyone from sports fans to celebrities.
