Allison Janney Stars In Broadway's '9 To 5'

Actress Allison Janney stopped by to talk about her role as Violet Newstead in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical "9 to 5."

The musical comedy is about friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era. It follows Violet, the wise-cracking ringleader who joins co-workers Judy and Doralee to turn the tables on their obnoxious boss, Franklin Hart, Jr.

This all-new musical comedy based on the hit movie features the blockbuster title song plus an exciting new score of 18 original numbers by Dolly Parton that mix Broadway and pop with her signature witty lyrics.

A native of Ohio, Janney is best known for her role as C. J. Cregg on the hit television series The West. She has slo been in Strangers With Candy, Hairspray and Juno. Janney was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in "9 to 5".
