Alanis Morrisette Talks About How She's Hooked On 'Weeds'

Singer-turned-actress Alanis Morrisette stopped by to talk about her recurring role as Dr. Audra Kitson on Showtime's hit series Weeds.
"After her husband's unexpected death and subsequent financial woes, suburban mom Nancy Botwin (Mary Louise Parker) embraces a new profession: the neighborhood pot dealer. As it seems like everyone secretly wants what she's selling -- even city councilman Doug Wilson (Kevin Nealon) -- Nancy is faced with keeping her family life in check and her enterprise a secret from her neighbor/pseudo-friend/PTA president, Celia Hodes," according to IMDB.
Morissette hails from Ottawa, Canada and began her musical career when she was a teenager with the hit pop albums Alanis and Now Is the Time. Morrissette debuted on the international stage with her rock album Jagged Little Pill, which has sold more than 30 million albums to date and still holds the record for best-selling debut album by a female artist.
Her singles include "Hands Clean," "Precious Illusions," "Would Not Come," "Unsent" and "Ironic." Aside from Weeds, Morrissette acting credits include Nip/Tuck, American Dreams, Degrassi: The Next Generation, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Sex In The City.
Weeds airs Mondays at 10pm on Showtime. For more on Weeds, visit sho.com/weeds. For more on Morrissette, visit www.alanismorissette.com.
