Richard Simmons Wants To Bring Back PE Class Through The FIT Kids Act

richard0619.jpg

For more than three decades, fitness guru Richard Simmons has been leading the charge in the battle of the bulge and today he's taking his fight to City Hall to help shrink the waistline of today's generation.

Simmons wants everyone to join him as he heads to downtown to urge the passing of the Fitness Integreated with Teaching (FIT) Kids Act to bring physical education back to schools.

According to the American Heart Association, "Childhood obesity has reached epidemic proportions, increasing our children’s risk of cardiovascular disease. Regular physical activity is critical to fighting back and ensuring a brighter, healthier future. The FIT Kids Act would amend the No Child Left Behind Act to help prioritize quality physical education in our schools."
