Rev Run, Justine Simmons Help Build Playground For Bronx Kids

run0618.jpg

They're at the helm of hip-hop's first family and together they work to raise six healthy and happy kids. With their latest project, Rev Run and Justine Simmons are encouraging your children to get out and play!

Rev Run and his family are the stars of MTV's Run's House, which kicked off its sixth season on Monday. On the show, the kids have grown up and developed independent lives of their own: Vanessa and Angela are living in Los Angeles and working on their shoe/clothing line Pastry; Jo Jo released an album last season; Diggy is maintaining his own blog and Russy is trying his hand a different hobbies.

Rev Run and Justine are building a playground in the Bronx today, Thursday, June 18. They’ve teamed up with KaBOOM! and Kool-Aid for the project, which is part of “KaBOOM! Play Days.”

The new Bronx playground built is part of an initiative that promotes the importance of children getting out to play and reminds parents to encourage their kids to do so. The playground build is also one of more than 220 KaBOOM! will lead across the country this year in an effort to provide a great place to play within walking distance of every child in America. The Bronx playground will eventually serve more than 7,500 children.

You can be part of the event and meet Reverend Run and Justine Simmons today at 1:30pm at the playground build at The Odyssey House, 1328 Clinton Avenue, Bronx, NY.

Rev. Run and his entire family is my most favorite family on television. I love how they showcase every essential about themselves in a family manner/environment on MTV non-the-less.
They are truly blessed and they're restoring the love and importance of family throughout this nation by reaching out and touching the hearts of many every Monday night at 10pm on MTV! I've been watching Run's House since it first aired in the summer of '05 and every season tops the previous.
May God bless You and Yours Rev. Run.
