as i watched the news this morning yall were speaking of the tragic, untimely death of Mr. Michael Jackson and it was compared to the untimely death of The King - Mr. Elvis Presley. i am firm believer that Elvis is not dead but infact living a sweet life in cuba, as is 2pac. I'd also like to say they are all missed and the music world was heavily influenced by these men.
Just because 1 is accused doesn't mean they're guilty. He was a troubled man, but he was a genius and should be honored as such.
There will never be another like him, and the world will be moonwalking forever.
May he find the peace he always sought.
when it comes to michael jackson i grew up listening to his music and at 32 years old as of june 7th i still listen to his music and refuse to remember him as a bad person or hate him because he made mistakes.
he was a human being and we make mistakes the key is standing up and holding yourself accountable for those mistakes and he did that but in the end i believe that if you hold a decease person you love or admire in your heart they are never truely gone.
I will remember him as the legend I had a crush on when I was a very little child and I saw him in his "Thriller" video for the first time. I mean WOW. This man was magical, hypnotic. We had a VHS copy of "Moonwalker" and my brother and I would watch that thing over and over for hours, just to see Michael do his thing. We'd be in serious danger of getting blisters on our feet from trying to do the Moonwalk. Pure magic.
I am stunned by his death. I just can't believe it; I honestly thought he was going to live FOREVER! I just could never imagine him as anything but very much alive, on the stage, working the crowd like he's always done...
