Dance Your Way To Shape With Karina Smirnoff

Professinal dancer Karina Smirnoff stopped by the studio to talk about participating in Dancing With The Stars and her upcoming workout DVD.

In the show's eighth season, brought an all new cast of celebrities ontp the dance floor. In an exciting new twist, the bottom two couples facing elimination "Dance Off" to determine who is dismissed in the first weeks of competition. In the "Dance-Off," the judges scores from the first 2 weeks are wiped out and the judges scores from the "Dance-Off" performance will replace them. The new judges scores from the "Dance-Off" and the viewers votes from the first two weeks will be combined to determine the eliminated couple.

This season's celeb participants were Belinda Carlisle, David Alan Grier, Shawn Johnson, Lil' Kim, Holly Madison, Gilles Marini, Ty Murray, Steve-O, Denise Richards, Melissa Rycroft, Lawrence Taylor, Chuck Wicks and Steve Wozniak.

This past season of Dancing With The Stars, Smirnoff and her partner Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Wozniak were eliminated in the fourth round on March 31, 2009, along with Holly Madison and her partner Dmitry Chaplin.

Smirnoff is currently working on an as-of-yet released fitness DVD.
